- cleaning the sink before bed,
- making your bed in the morning,
- or drinking a glass of water when you wake up.

I typically wake up between 5 and 6 to exercise and get in God’s word before the kids wake up. (I am NOT a morning person.) This also helps because then my hubby wakes up after me and the last one out of bed makes the bed. 🙂

We pray a scripture over our 3 kids every night before bed. May the Lord bless you and keep you one. And now with the song The Blessing our kids recognize the words and sometimes they sing it out.

I was having a hard time CONSISTENTLY reading my Bible every morning. I started with grabbing my morning coffee and reading a very small daily devotional. Once I had that habit I began to add on Bible reading after the devotional in longer and longer chunks. It’s worked so far!

Water, Live in Grace, Walk in Love Devo by Bob Goff (awesome) and then coffee, make bed. At night wash dishes but horrible about putting them away.

Doing them the night before can make a big difference! I’ve started doing that again recently and it does feel quite amazing.

I spend at least 30 minutes reading my scripture of the day, praying, and then sending a family text with the daily scripture.

I make sure the kitchen is clean before I go to bed so I don’t have a mess staring me down first thing everyday and I have a load of laundry ready to throw in the washer to get my day started proficiently. I also like to grab a cup of tea and start going through my emails so I can have my prayer time before the evening activities with the kids start.

Something as simple as washing my face every day to keep my complexion clear. Then moving on to praying for my kids every day, but if I make that too complicated I fail at that more often than not. I love tiny habits. Today was very helpful!

Yes! I find that the second I make something too complicated, I fail. I think that’s why flossing one tooth has worked for me. Most times I floss the whole mouth but knowing it’s ok to just floss one tooth keeps the habit alive!

I fill a Bootle of water with cucumber lemon and ginger before I go to bed to be flavoured for the morning.
When I wake up.before I get out of bed I make a habit of thanking God for life ???

I use my phone calendar as a to-do list. There is a Psalm for each day of the week and the devotional that my church uses, as well as a time for me to pray for my pastor. Those three items are already occurring events on my calendar, so when I complete those each day, I delete that item for that day.

After supper I start tidying the table while I am still sitting and waiting for my kids to finish eating. When I stand up and inevitably feel the exhaustion of the day hit, I don’t have to think through the task of supper cleanup as I will be half way through the job already.

As a SAHM, I start and/or make most of dinner right after lunch when my kids are happy, fed, and taking some downtown. That way the inevitable “witching hour” doesn’t coincide with me also needing to make dinner so I can be more present for needs when patience goes down and tired is high.

Try filling up a big water bottle! It might work! The key is the part we’ll learn tomorrow 😉 I fill up (or find and fill up) my water bottle just after I turn on the microwave.

I do the water bottle thing too! (I add a squirt if lemon juice :)) And I light a candle every morning to remind me of God’s presence with me in that moment and for all that will come my way throughout the day. Remembering His steadfast care of me and hope for me are helpful as I begin my day.

I have learnt to clean up after myself daily so things don’t build up on me I use to put everything off and then I would get overwhelmed and frustrated, but organization and order has helped me greatly in maintaining my home for peaceful tranquility.

I’m new to the challenge and catching up – so glad that I was introduced! I see great habits noted! I have made it a habit to stretch in the bed when I wake, thank the Lord for waking me up and then have a sip of water. Stepping outside for a breath of fresh air is inconsistent but one I plan to get back to. #Mindfulness

We do the same thing! It started with the verse over my son when he was tiny and we said it every night then the song came out and now we sing to him. He is 1.5 and sings the Amen part! I love this part of the day and so does he!
